Every Winter, the 1700 members of the 10 sororities and 20 fraternities that comprise the Davis Collegiate Panhellenic Association and Interfraternity Council come together to celebrate their achievements and recognize some of their outstanding members. Description of Awards

Panhellenic Awards

The Chapter Development Award highlights a Chapter's success in improving their performance in one of the following areas:  academic performance, community service and philanthropy, programming on timely and relevant issues, intergreek relations, or promoting a positive Greek image within the campus and city community.

The Programming and Education Award recognizes excellence in providing outstanding programs to keep members informed and aware of current issues. Examples of such programs include cultural meetings, social programming, membership development programs, risk management, study education programs, and alumnae programs.

The Community Service and Philanthropy Award recognizes excellence in philanthropic and community service events sponsored by individual chapters. This award was established to acknowledge the chapter with exceptional commitment to their chosen philanthropy and other community service projects.

The Inter-Greek Relations Award was established to acknowledge a Chapter's ability to produce events that encourage interaction among other Chapters and establish relationships through programming and/or non-competitive activities.

The Risk Management Award recognizes excellence in chapter risk management procedures.

The Most Spirited Chapter Award recognizes the group of women that epitomizes school spirit, Panhellenic spirit, and Chapter spirit.

The Advisor of the Year Award recognizes the most exceptional Panhellenic Chapter Advisor.

The Jill Peckler Award is presented to an individual who excels in scholarship and athletics, and who exemplifies outstanding Panhellenic spirit. It was established in memory of Jill Peckler, a member of Delta Gamma.

The Greek Woman of the Year Award recognizes the outstanding woman who best represents that Panhellenic ideal.  In addition to a commitment to scholastic achievement and community service, she shows involvement and leadership in her fraternity, the Greek community, and other campus student activities.

Interfraternity Council Awards

The Inter-Greek Relations Award is given to the Chapter that works hardest at building a strong sense of cooperation, communication, and collaboration within the Greek community at UC Davis.

The Scholarship Award is given to the Chapter that both excels academically and has ongoing programs in place to promote excellent scholarship and study habits within its membership.

The Member Development Award recognizes excellence in chapter programming, specifically chapters that provide outstanding programs to keep members informed and aware of current issues.

The Community Relations Award is awarded to the Chapter that does the best job of building a strong and positive partnership between fraternities and the University and City communities.

The New Member Evaluation and Recruitment Award recognizes excellence in new member recruitment, education, and mentoring.

Strong connections to a supportive and invested alumni network are critical to the long term success of a Chapter.  The Alumni Relations Award is awarded to the Chapter that best fosters the alumni-Chapter relationship.

The Outstanding Member and  Outstanding New Member Awards recognize two men from each Chapter who have been leaders and role models within their organizations.  The Outstanding New Member Award goes to a man who has been a member for less than a year.   

The Award of Excellence, or 'IFC Chapter of the Year' award is given to the group that performs best in all aspeects of fraternal life - leadership, brotherhood, community service, and scholarship.

The Greek Man of The Year Award  recognizes the IFC fraternity man who best exemplifies the Greek ideal.  He shows involvement and leadership in both his fraternity and the campus community.
