RAP- Recognition and Accreditation Program

The following information is provided to assist Chapters in understanding and fulfilling all requirements of the Recognition & Accreditation Program (RAP).  Please review all instructions carefully to ensure your Chapter is able to earn accreditation status and eligibility for community recognition and awards.




The purpose of the Recognition and Accreditation Program is to:

  1. Assess Chapters based on the Values and Standards of Sorority and Fraternity Life at UC Davis
  2. Set minimum expectations and requirements for Chapters to maintain their accreditation status
  3. Reward high-performing Chapters through community recognition and eligibility for awards
  4. Hold underperforming Chapters accountable through provisional or revoked accreditation status


○     All Chapters and Colonies affiliated with Sorority and Fraternity Life are required to participate

○     Submissions only concern events that occur during the RAP Term: Spring 2016 - Winter 2017

○     All quarterly and annual RAP submissions will be made electronically through AggieLife

○     The program has four (4) main sections based on the Values of Sorority and Fraternity Life

○     Each section has three (3) subsections derived from the Standards of Sorority and Fraternity Life

○     Each subsection is composed of four (4) statements designed to gather relevant information

○     Up to 3 points per statement can be awarded based on materials submitted (points are only gained)

○     Submissions will be reviewed and scored by OSFL staff and other UC Davis volunteers

○     RAP Score above 100/144 points is the target range for Chapters to maintain their accreditation

Tips and Tricks


  • ALL Chapters/Colonies are required to submit to maintain chapter’s accreditation status at UC Davis.
  • Submission should only include events that occurred during the RAP Term: Spring 2016 - Winter 2017
  • Points are awarded based on DOCUMENTATION materials submitted - points are only gained.
  • Minimum score should meet/exceed 100 points (out of 144) to maintain chapter's accreditation status at UC Davis.
  • Late submissions will result in loss of eligibility for recognition and awards.
  • Accreditation Status Report Posted by OSFL between May 1st - May 15th
  • Recognition Announced at Standards of Excellence Awards Ceremony


  • Closely review program instructions and scoring rubric 
  • Create a committee, delegate sections of the packet to relevant officers, set deadlines for them to complete their sections.
  • Consider delegating the Individual Award Nominations to another leader in the chapter.
  • Utilize Google Shared Drive to compile documents and work collaboratively with members.
  • Create a Google Form to gather information from your members (ex. service hours, dollars donated, academic/professional honors societies and involvement on campus and in community).
  • Involve your alumni/chapter advisors, have them review your content and get their feedback.
  • Work with your OSFL Advisor to ensure you understand the prompts/get feedback on your content.
